Mentoring & Tutoring

My experience:
- 1 year of academic tutoring for University & High School students
- 2 years of academic mentoring for University students
My Story & Approach:
My passion for learning emerged during highschool while going through the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This consisted of an incredibly heavy course-load and not enough academic support. Therefore, with the internet in-hand, I had to learn how to learn. My experience of studying physics in university has simply been a more intense version of the same story. Throughout this self-learning process, I’ve developed a learning approach primarily driven by curiosity. Which is often left out of highschool and university math & science courses. It includes filling prerequisite gaps, and finding an array of resources to help develop a more wholesome knowing of a subject: good textbooks, articles, visual videos, and interactive websites. It also emphasizes tying STEM knowledge back to reality, which entails exploring the applications behind each topic, either in the real world or later in more advanced topics. My goal is to help you move past any roadblocks in a subject, establish essential study skills (note-taking, scheduling, finding good resources, and absorbing knowledge), in addition to deepening your curiosity about the subject.
